Kumbeshwar Technical School

All of WorldFinds gorgeous knitwear is handmade at Kumbeshwar Technical School (KTS) in Lalitpur, Nepal. This fair trade organization was founded in 1983, and has a primary goal of supporting the most underprivileged families in Nepal through education and vocational training.

KTS conducts training classes to teach women in their community how to knit. There are currently over 2500 family and community members that are benefiting from KTS.

The group is self sustaining and runs off the revenues created by the sale of KTS products. KTS not only provides steady fair wages and health benefits to its artisans, but also provides the opportunity for 250 children to receive a primary education while also supporting an orphanage and day care facility. WorldFinds is proud to partner with KTS in their community efforts, and help bring dignity and respect to the women artisans and their families.
