Our round-the-world journey began on March 30, 1999. We left the comforts of home in Chicago and began 14-months of travel by plane, bus, ferry, and foot through five continents, over 30 countries, and too many cities to count.
We have developed this site for our family and friends to follow us during our "foray into the unknown," to learn a little about the places we visit (as we do), and share in our experiences. But mostly so they can avoid the 2-hour slideshow when we get back. We also hope travelers who are planning a trip or others who share our rampant wanderlust might find it beneficial or even fun.
